Vintage wine

The vintages of your wines

The vintages

The vintage corresponds in the vocabulary of oenology, to the year of harvest of the grapes used to make a wine. I am not going to give you a course on oenology, I would be totally incapable of it. Since the creation of this blog in 2009 (phew, already 10 years with you), I offer each recipe a wine to accompany my dish.

I created this table especially to help you in your future purchases, so you can take wines to your friends with full knowledge of the facts. Wine is an art, even a science, however you can taste a good vintage together. The comments will go well and yet everyone will perceive this tasting differently, but the main thing is above all to have fun. It’s also a great way to reward friends who invite you, if like me, your cellar is not full of hundreds of vintage vintages, and with each invitation you lose hair at your cellar to choose a quality wine. within your budget, and adapted to the knowledge and habits of your friends. This table The vintages, should help you. I am not going to give you a tasting course, just know that there is a rule for buying a bottle, that is that the wine you have chosen you like, and believe me, it does. is not a matter of price, but above all of the heart. Also, and above all, adapted to the tastes and knowledge of your guests.

You should easily find all the wines to inform you and help you in your choices.

Now, if you want to know in my opinion (and several experts), which is the best year of the last century, all grape varieties combined, I think it is 1961: The Great Year.

Here, for information, the great post-war years. Often, these wines can no longer be found, or very rarely.

The exceptional vintages in Bordeaux:
1945, 1947, 1949,1953, 1959, 1961,1970, 1975, 1982, 1989, 1990,2005 and 2010
The exceptional vintages for Les Sauternes:
1947, 1955, 1959, 1975, 1983, 1989, 1990, 1996, 1997, 2001 and probably 2005
Exceptional vintages in Burgundy (reds):
1945, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1978,1985, 1991

1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1961,1978, 1988, 1989, 1990,2005, 2010

This time, much more seriously, to stay on topic, at a time when people are dying of hunger on this planet, I offer you the 10 most expensive bottles sold. The information does not come from me, but from a website cited below. So if you want to break the bank and invite me…:

Hello to you,

You seem to me to know each other well
Little question.

I would like to serve a Côte du Rhône for a future meal.
But I suck in this area!
So maybe you can recommend a wine for me on this site where I already have an account?

Thanks in advance for your advice!
