Recipe: Gratin with Saint Nectaire

Recipe for gratin with Saint Nectaire, ideal for an evening meal, you can serve it with a nice green salad. Gently cook your potato gratin in the oven, it will brown slightly and remain very soft. You will love this recipe which will flavor the whole house, a nice hearty plate with a little cold meats. Saint Nectaire, an Auvergne cheese with character, I like to cook with potatoes.

Recipe ingredients

  • Saint Nectaire gratin recipe for 4 people:
  • 1.600 kg Sweet potatoes
  • 3 large onions
  • 400 g zucchini
  • 500 g of saint nectaire
  • 1 nutmeg.
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 25 cl of liquid cream
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel potatoes.
  2. Peel the onions.
  3. Coarsely peel the zucchini
  4. Thinly slice the potatoes with the onions.
  5. Slice the zucchini.
  6. Roughly strip the Saint Nectarius.
  7. Roughly slice the cheese, then grate it.
  8. Peel the garlic, then squeeze it.
  9. Grate the nutmeg.
  10. Salt and pepper
  11. Mix all the ingredients well.
  12. Butter a baking dish.
  13. Place all the ingredients in the dish.
  14. Pour the liquid cream just before going to the oven.
  15. Place in a cold oven and cook for 2 hours at 150 °
