Chicken and Grape Tagine Recipe

Grape tagine recipe, I like to cook with a tagine, I also like playing with spices. The kitchen is perfumed during all the cooking, the sun is in the house. A lot of folklore with this kind of dish, I appreciate the arrival of the chicken tagine with grapes, I like the moment when you lift the lid: there the scents arrive and finally the pleasure of the eyes. Cooking that goes wonderfully with chicken, which goes without constraint with all the spices you want, sweet or savory, it suits you. Here in my chicken grape tagine recipe, there will be a little sweet undertone, to give it a festive air. Chicken is a low-calorie white meat, it is also often a children’s favorite for the thigh and white pieces. I enjoy the wings and beware of those who dare to take them from me at home.

Ingredients

Recipe for 6 people:
6 yellow chicken thighs
2 onions
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of massalé
2 teaspoons of four spices
2 small fresh figs
15 large grapes
1 tablespoon of flaked almonds
2 roma tomatoes
1 large bunch of black grapes
3 sprigs of coriander

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180 °
Roast the slivered almonds in a dry pan.
Rinse the grapes, figs, cilantro and tomatoes.
Peel the onion then mince finely.
Finely chop the cilantro.
Heat the tagine gently
Add olive oil.
Add the chopped onions
Sow the spices in the hot oil.
Mix with a wooden spoon.
As soon as the spices begin to perfume the air.
Sear the chicken in very hot oil to brown the poultry.
Pour 10 cl of water.
Place the chicken in the tagine.
Add the tomatoes cut into quarters and the figs cut into 6 wedges
Season generously with salt and pepper.
Bake for an hour.
Add the slivered almonds and cilantro just before serving.
