I can’t wait to taste this chicken and the potatoes cooked with the onions in the chicken juice with thyme and lemon.

Recipe ingredients

  • Chicken recipe with thyme and lemon for 6 people:
  • 1 farm chicken
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 2 lemons
  • 10 gr of dry thyme
  • 3 small onions
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 50 gr of butter
  • 2 chicken cubes
  • 1 teaspoon of coarse salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °
  2. Oil the baking dish.
  3. Slice the lemons into quarters.
  4. Prepare the poultry broth with 25 cl of water and the two cubes.
  5. Pour the remaining oil over the chicken.
  6. Spread the butter over the chicken.
  7. Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  8. Peel the onions and potatoes, add them without cutting them
  9. Bake in the hot oven for 30 minutes.
  10. Lower the oven to 180 ° and cook for another 60 minutes
  11. Baste the chicken and vegetables every 15 minutes.
  12. Cut the chicken after letting it relax for 5 minutes
